Billecart-Salmon is one of the most widely recognised Champagne houses in the world and with good reason. The Champagne house was established in 1818 and has been run by the same families for over two centuries. Using Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier from Epernay, Billecart-Salmon only allow the finest fruit to go into their products.
Their Brut Reserve stands out from the rest by having a much higher proportion of Pinot Meunier than other brands. Meunier adds lively acidity and focus which truly adds to the experience. With traditionally formed, fine, plentiful bubbles the Champagne tickles the palate. Billecart-Salmon achieve further complexity by using 55% reserve wines in the blend. The resulting wine shows aromas of freshly baked bread, crips been apple and citrus. The mouthfeel is medium to full with texture and finesse.
Pair as the French would, with big and juicy oysters.
