Voyager Estate is one of the first wineries in Margaret River and their original plantings date back to 1978. Their wines are made from grapes grown on their own land, giving them full control over vineyard practices. Each grape variety is planted on sites where they are best suited, based on micro climate and soil types. The wine makers hold sustainability as one of their core values, looking after the land and consequently, the future of their wines.
The Voyager Estate Girth by Sea, is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot along with 4% Petit Verdot. The wine is elegant, of medium weight with lifted blackcurrant and violet aromas. Maturation in French oak also gives subtle spice and enhanced complexity on the palate. In addition, milk chocolate and notes of gravel can be felt on the long finish which showssilky, fine tannins.
This wine is a great match to a juicy Scotch fillet or Porterhouse steak.
