Charles Collin was established in 1952 in the Cotes des Bars region of Champagne. They are one of the largest producers in the region, supporting over 140 grape growers with 320 hectares of vineyard in total. The majority of the vines are Pinot Noir, however 10% are Chardonnay. Each individual grower is supported by the Champagne house, therefore ensuring the grapes are of the utmost quality.
The Charles Collin Brut Rose is a more savoury style of rose Champagne, which is excellent with food. The wine is made soley from Pinot Noir, 10% of which is red wine. This allows for a flavour intensity greater than what is expected from a rose Champagne. Aromas of fresh raspberry, grapefruit and pomegranate compliment flavours of wild strawberries and red berry fruit. In addition, delicate beads and a persistent mousse contribute to a long and elegant finish.
This wine is a perfect match to soft white cheeses.
