Muller-Catoir is a family-run Winehouse established in 1744. Combining tradition with modern techniques, the business is currently run by the ninth generation of winemakers. Their wines are made from 100% of their own fruit, giving mineral-rich and elegant characteristics.
Their “Gutswein” is a blend of 85% Riesling with Rieslaner, Scheurebe and Weissburgunder, also known as Pinot Blanc. All the fruit was hand harvested to ensure the utmost quality. This great value wine is dry and racy with a solid backbone of acidity and great mineral depth. Citrus pith and zest dominate the palate and the mineral notes are evident on the nose.
Pair with shellfish or oysters, but this will also be an excellent companion to Asian-inspired stir-fries or Chinese take aways!
