Guill and Sandra de Pury of Yeringberg make wines from low-yielding wines, obtaining an astonishing texture and complexity. Their wines are made from some of the oldest vines in the Yarra Valley and their estate has gained a tremendous reputation both at home and abroad. After initially being abandoned, Guill and his wife, Katherine, replanted the old vineyards in 1969 and they have been continuously tended to ever since.
This Viognier is intensely perfumed with apricot, orange blossom and tropical fruits. Aromas of clove, nutmeg and cinnamon are matched by a gentle nuttiness. The palate is rich and generous, giving flavours of apricot and spice. Viognier is a full wine with viscous texture and great length.
Pair with seafood and white meats. Goes really well with spiced foods as it has rich enough flavours to compliment.
