Punt Road’s wines are made from grapes sourced from their own vineyards in Coldstream, Yarra Valley. The winery is still a small, family run business, despite having more than 150 acres of land. They follow a philosophy of minimum intervention where the quality of fruit and vineyard conditions give rise to the characteristics of the wines.
This is a crunchy and textural Pinot Gris with citrus and Nashi-pear characteristics. Gentle skin contact allow for a slightly grippy mid palate. The wine is also partially fermented on old, larger format oak which gives enhanced depth of flavour and complexity. The palate is supple with refreshing, juicy acidity on the and a creamy finish.
This Pinot Gris is a delicious match with a seafood pasta or creamy chicken dishes.
