Triennes was founded by a Parisian and two wine makers from Burgundy, searching for new land suitable for growing grapes. Ultimately, they chose a gentle sloping hillside with a southern aspect and rich limestone soils. Akin to the vignerons of Burgundy, the main focus for the trio is on the vineyard, not the winery. They believe that healthy land produces healthy grapes, and these in turn produce great wines. They use sustainable farming techniques so as to preserve the micro-ecology of the land. It is a combination of these factors that makes the wines we all love to drink.
The Triennes IGP Mediterranee Rose is a classic, refreshing and dry Rose, made with Grenache, Syrah and Merlot grapes. It has fresh aromas of white flower, strawberry and pomegranate, with subtle hints of vanilla. The palate is juicy with tart grapefruit flavours that merge into strawberries and cream. Beautifully balanced and with a racy acidity, this wine almost too easy to drink.
The Triennes IGP Mediterranee Rose is the perfect aperitif and is delicious on its own. That being said, it will be great with lighter seafood dishes as well as spicy foods.
