Syrahmi is one of Adam Fosters’ three labels, focusing on the great wines of the Rhone Valley. All of the fruit is grown in Heathcote, which is particularly well suited for Syrah grapes. Beginning is career as a Chef, Adam has exceptional palate. Even though he has never studied viticulture, he has experience from many great estates in both France and Australia. As a winemaker, Adam knows the importance of terroir and seamlessly allows each vintage to be expressed.
The Syrahmi Demi Shiraz is Adam’s everyday drinking wine! It has pronounced aromas of fresh raspberries, black olives and freshly turned soil. It shows an intense perfume yet is approachable at the same time. The typical Heathcote characteristics of minerality of graphite and granite pair with black cherries and smoke. The refreshing acidity is a perfect match to the fine tannins. It also has red and black berry fruit on the palate. The body is lighter than most Heathcote Shiraz, but it still has great concentration of flavour.
Syrhami Demi Shiraz is a versatile wine. It is an ideal match to a variety of everyday fare ranging from pasta to pizza, to a delicious home cooked roast.
