Named after two early explores of Victoria, George Bass and Arthur Phillip, Bass Phillip is one of Gippsland’s most premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay producer. Their several vineyards in South Gippsland have been treated biodynamically for nearly two decades, further enhancing the signature of each vintage and soil type. This region also offers deep mineral-rich soils, natural humidity and cool temperatures. The resulting wines exhibit length, complexity of flavours and natural minerality.
This rose is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes of the Leongatha vineyard. The result is a rich and complex wine with earthy notes, yet retaining beautiful freshness. Strawberry, sweet cherry and cranberry are all evident on the nose and palate. Savoury herbs are also evident on the nose. The texture is succulent with fresh acidity and slight bitterness on the after-palate.
