Acquired by Jacques Seysses in 1967, the Domaine only had 4 hectares of vineyards in Morey St Denis. Today, it boasts 11.5 hectares with vineyards in Clos de la Roche, Clos St-Denis and Charmes Chambertin to mention a few. Seysses’ philosophy is to not interfere with what nature gives unless absolutely necessary. All the Grand and Premier Crus are aged in 100% new oak as these wines have the structure and complexity to handle it.

2017 was an outstanding vintage with balanced and fresh wines, and the ability to age for decades. This Nuits St Georges has a bountiful bouquet of red and black cherries, game and coffee and savoury smoke. The pure palate reflects the nose with additional vanilla and chalky undertones. A refined structure and fine-grained tannins result in an excellent finish.

This wine pairs perfectly with lean red meats and also feathered game.
