2013 was the 40th anniversary of the first vintage at Moss Wood and they have continuously impressed critics across the board. As with the first vintage of 1973, 2016 was a great year for wines from the Margaret River region.
Their Cabernet Sauvignon shows the classic cassis and mulberry aromas one would expect from a Cabernet Sauvignon. Cedar, leather and tar is evident on the palate, together with black plum and dark chocolate. Its firm structure with ripe and elongated tannins and bright acidity will allow this wine to age for several years to come.
However, if to be enjoyed now, pair with a prime cut dry aged steak or a decadent cheese board.
