La Fornace, a family run vineyard, is located in the region of Montalcino. Established in 1964, the family follows sustainable practices, making wines that reflect the area.
The Brunello di Montalcino is made from Sangiovese Grosso grapes. The thick skin of this grape provides high tannin levels and colour. For this reason it shows great complexity and ageing potential.
The wine is aged for a minimum of two years in both traditional botti and classic French wine barrels. This creates a wine that is ripe and structured, with mouth-coating tannins. The palate also shows red and blue fruits, smokey leather and subtle spice. Decant and enjoy this wine now.
